What members receive
- 01Full, unrestricted access to all of TSP’s academic essays and reports.
- 02Access to the Inner Circle community section.
- 03Renewal and cancellation terms will be published in the membership terms.

From £5

- 01Give £5, £10, £20 or £50, or choose your own amount.
- 02One-off donations only. Monthly donations are not offered.
- 03Separate from the Inner Circle: a donation does not create a membership or give access to members’ essays or the community.

Step by step
How joining works
Once the Inner Circle opens, joining is automatic. Each step waits for the one before it: nothing is switched on until your payment has cleared.

Payment clears
Stripe confirms the £5 subscription payment.
Account created
A member account is created and full access to the essay archive and Inner Circle is granted instantly.
Welcome email
The welcome message is sent automatically, with a link to the membership dashboard.
Payments
How payments will work
Payments are not enabled yet. When they open, they will work like this, for the Inner Circle and donations alike.
Checkout with the provider
You pay on the payment provider’s own checkout page (Stripe Checkout). Your card details are handled by the provider and are never stored by TSP.
The provider confirms
Nothing is treated as paid until the payment provider confirms the payment. The return page checks with the provider and never assumes success.
Only then, access or a receipt
Inner Circle access, your member account and any receipt follow only after the provider has confirmed payment. If a payment fails or is cancelled, nothing is switched on.

Questions about joining
- Q1
Is the email list free?
Yes, completely. Subscribing costs nothing, and you will never be asked to pay, join or donate in order to keep receiving updates.
- Q2
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes. You can leave the list whenever you choose, and a free account will let you pick which kinds of email you receive rather than all or nothing.
- Q3
How much does the Inner Circle cost?
A flat £5 a month. There are no added fees: TSP covers the card-processing costs, so £5 is all you pay.
- Q4
What does the Inner Circle include?
Full, unrestricted access to all of TSP’s academic essays and reports, and access to the Inner Circle community section. A video forum is being planned, but it is not part of the subscription until it launches.
- Q5
What happens when I join?
Once your £5 payment clears, a member account is created, full access to the essay archive and the community is switched on straight away, and a welcome email arrives with a link to your membership dashboard.
- Q6
Can I cancel?
The Inner Circle is a rolling monthly subscription. How to cancel, and what happens to the month you have paid for, will be set out in the membership terms before anyone can join.
- Q7
When will the Inner Circle open?
No opening date has been announced. Subscriptions can only open once the membership terms, who receives the funds, and the UK political-finance and payment-provider checks are settled. Until then the Inner Circle button stays inactive and no payment can be taken.
- Q8
Do members still get a membership number?
Yes. Each Inner Circle member is given a unique membership number automatically once their first payment clears. It appears in your account and is separate from the supporter number that comes with a free account.
- Q9
What is the People’s Charter Movement Fund?
A donation fund, separate from the Inner Circle, that allows supporters of TSP and the People’s Charter Movement to contribute funds directly toward legal costs and the national campaign demanding a referendum for a codified constitution. You can give £5, £10, £20 or £50, or an amount you choose.
- Q10
Does donating make me a member?
No. A donation is a one-off payment that stands on its own: it does not create a membership or give access to the members’ essays or community, and the Inner Circle never requires a donation.
- Q11
Is my donation a charitable donation?
No. Donations to the People’s Charter Movement Fund are not presented as charitable donations, and you should not assume that any tax relief, such as Gift Aid, applies. The donation terms will explain how donations are handled before any can be made.
